I have a company-issued Lenovo T61 Core Duo laptop. It's old and clunky. It's also picky about what mainboard memory it uses. It (the laptop) was issued to me with 2 GBytes of mainboard memory. Not really enough to run Windows 7, although Win 7 will actually boot-up. I bought this 4 GByte Corsair SO-DIMM memory kit based upon technical specifications and pin-count. To make a long story short, I put the memory into my laptop, booted Win7, and have had no problems whatsoever for the last several months. When it comes time to turn-in this laptop for an upgrade, I hope I can remember to recover my personal Corsair memory modules. I think I want to keep them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Early 2008 Macbook Core 2 Duo, April 28, 2012

I bought this ram for my early 2008 macbook which was starting to run a little slow. After I installed both modules and tried to boot my computer all I got was a black screen. It will work combined with one of the original modules but not in pairs. After a quick search of other companies' RAMs, I found that PNY OPTIMA 4GB MN4096KD2-667 has the same issues as this RAM. I even called Corsair prior to purchasing this RAM and was assured it would work properly with my computer--that's the main reason I settled on this memory over another brand like Kingston. Still searching for RAM that is compatible with this computer. It's annoying that the older chips such as these don't work properly, and its also annoying that the price on these chips are more expensive than the newer modules!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Dell Studio 1535 Memory Upgrade, April 20, 2012

Hi guys, this is just a quick review to help owners of the Dell Studio 1535 laptop that are looking to upgrade your memory. I recently wanted to upgrade the memory in my wife's laptop and was having a hard time finding out which memory would work, after lots of research I decided on the Corsair Memory VS4GSDSKIT800D2 4 GB Kit (2x2GB) PC2-6400 800Mhz 200-pin DDR2 SODIMM Dual Channel Laptop Memory because of Corsair's great reputation when it comes to computer memory.

The Dell Studio 1535 laptop running Windows Vista 32-bit can support up to 4 gigs of RAM so I wanted to install all 4 gigs into my wife's laptop to maximize its potential. After receiving the memory kit and installing it into her laptop, the laptop recognized the new memory instantly and displayed all 4 gigs of RAM (Due to the limitations of the 32-bit version of Windows Vista, I am only able to use 3.5 gigs of the available 4 gigs, this should not be an issue with the 64-bit virsion). The entire upgrade took about tree minutes and was worth every penny spent.

I also upgraded the memory in my Dell Inspiron 17R (N7010) laptop with Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) 1333mhz PC3-10666 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM Laptop Memory Kit CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 which also performed flawlessly, if you're looking to upgrade the memory in your Dell laptop, you can definitely feel secure in purchasing these products.

Dell Studio 1535 maximum supported memory upgrade is Corsair Memory VS4GSDSKIT800D2 4 GB Kit (2x2GB) PC2-6400 800Mhz 200-pin DDR2 SODIMM Dual Channel Laptop Memory.

Dell Inspiron 17R (N7010) maximum supported memory upgrade is Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) 1333mhz PC3-10666 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM Laptop Memory Kit CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9.

I hope this is a help to someone :-)
