I just received this bag a couple of days ago and I could not be more thrilled! I am a college student, and typically all I take to my classes is my laptop and a notebook or two for notes, as well as pens and pencils. This bag is absolutely perfect for that - has a pocket for small items (I use it for pens and my iPod and cell phone) and two pen sleeves. It has an outside pocket that I use for my laptop chord and wireless mouse like the picture shows. On the opposite side there is also a slim pocket that I usually use for papers or other flat objects since that side goes against my back when I wear it as a backpack. I personally think the convertibility between backpack and messenger back is awesome - I actually switch back and forth every now and then. When it's cold I prefer the messenger, but when the weather's nice I like having it more secure as a backpack.

My laptop is an Acer and measures 12.1" and it fits VERY snugly into the bag. It's not a hassle to open or close, but there's no wiggle room. I love that because I don't worry about it bouncing around while I'm walking. If your laptop measures 12.1" or more longways, I would be a little cautious about ordering this bag. I knew when I ordered it there was a decent chance it wouldn't fit since it's advertised for 10.1" laptops (sometimes called netbooks), but I really loved the bag overall and thought it was worth trying. Very happy that I decided to order it!

My only negative is that it is not big enough to carry regular sized papers in the main compartment without folding - which should be expected of a bag that's advertised to carry a 10.1" laptop (regular paper is 11" long). I usually fold papers in half and stick them in the slim pocket. I also use smaller than average notebooks, so I've never been bothered by this.

It seems to be very well made and durable, but only time will truly test that. If I have any problems with durability in the future, I will update this review as soon as possible. If you're reading this, assume my bag has not malfunctioned!
