Before I go any further, I'd like to say Amazon makes returning things so easy which is much appreciated...My wife bought this for me for Father's Day and I was so excited - I love the 49ers. After trying two of these, it's pretty apparent that this case has a design flaw on the upper left near the volume button. For some reason the case was made slightly too small to fit over that corner (the other 3 corners are fine), so when you put it on the iPod, it creates a lot of stress at a thin portion of the plastic and cracks. With the first one I thought maybe it was a single defect in that particular one or maybe I had forced it on. So, with the second one I made sure there were no cracks at all when I first received it. I babied the thing as I put it on. Sure enough, it didn't completely cover the top left corner (same problem as with the first) and without even forcing it to try to get it over that corner, it cracked in the same exact manner. I hate leaving bad reviews and I especially wish this case was better because it seems like there isn't anything else out there with a 49ers logo for the 3rd generation iPod touch. But, unfortunately, this is NOT a product I would buy or recommend. I guess you could give it a shot if you REALLY want to because Amazon is so great with returns, but other than that, I have to say this thing is just made wrong and I'd look for something else. |
