I paid about 500.00 less than he did, and I could do everything he can do, and more. OK, so I don't have pinch to zoom, big deal. So I don't have a capacitive touchscreen, big deal? I think not. Right out of the box, it powered up, I was browsing the web, and downloading apps from the android market. I watch video, play games, read books on kindle app and google books app. It is what you make it. It is not the best construction, but you get what you pay. The touch screen isn't as responsive as an ipad, but again, didn't buy an ipad, I would suggest putting in a 16gb micro sd card, I have had my tablet for 2 weeks now and love it, I also love all of the ports on the side; HDMI, USB, Mini USB, etc..., you will have to put in a little time and read online on how to optimize these things, I am still learning, but what I can say is that it is getting better, everyday I spend time learning about new features or apps that make this tablet more interesting. Don't expect a good user manual either, Be expected to put some time into learning the features, and researching online how to optimize this tablet to make it work for you. The WIFI connected right away, but I would get an airplane mode app, to shut off the search feature for 3g, and then also get a task killer app, to save battery life, the battery, the way I have it optimized now with WIFI on last about 4-5 hours of continuous operation. But I only use it here and there for about an hour a day. So for the price and some effort you have one great tablet, for one great price, plus this is a new changing technology, so for under 200.00 for a about a year, not too bad, I wont feel bad when it is obsolete, and I have to get a newer one, compared to the ipad, where I will waste about 500.00 to 800.00, and then six months down the road "the new ipad whatever" comes out. I give it 5 stars because it is functional, lots of features you can add, and it really exceeded my expectations , but you get what you pay for, so be prepared to put in a little work. 36 of 40 people found the following review helpful  Great device for price. My phone. This is much better and easier to use my apps on. Like it for an e-reader in color. Still prefer kindle for reading. Fun to surf the web and Facebook, and home shop.. Looking at real estate. Love it! I paid 0 for it but still feel like it is a good deal. Androids are hard to get online with WiFi you need to try about 4 times to connect but it will work. Android does have a learning curve but if you are persistent ant it will pay off. I definitely recommend a task killer. If you don't want to work with touch screen, you can easily connect a wireless mouse. All in all it is an amazing product for the money. |
