It still looks brand new and really seems to be holding up very well, more than I expected. It even stands up to the abuse put upon it by my 18 month old...he has thrown it (w/nb in it), bitten it (several times), hammered it with toys, and "shared" his drinks with it. It has been easy to clean so far, no stains, no water spots. It is totally perfect for the AA1 8.9in. This case is so much cuter and so much better than anything else I have seen at any store including Best Buy, Fry's, etc. I just ordered a Flip Video so I plan to get a matching case for that, luckily they have one. It is like a reinforced cloth case. The outside and inside are cloth and it has some thick material inside it to give some protection. Does allow an aspire one with a 6-cell battery, but you can't fit in a charger and extra 3 cell. You either do the charger or the 3-cell. Fits the 3-cell and the mouse that came with the computer perfectly though. Very good build quality! The reason I can't give this product more than 3 stars is because the velcro strap inside will not hold the computer if you forget to zip the case. I'm sure it wouldn't if the strap was vertical instead of horizontal. This case is way better than I expected, such a nice front design makes this case look like a million bucks! The inside of this case has a velcro strap on one side to keep the Netbook secure and tight (specially while closing and opening the case) and an extra pouch on the opposite side which I use to place a mouse pad but you can probably fit something thicker than that without a problem. Just in case you're curious, this is a hard case, so it will protect your netbook from taking any major damage if droped by accident from about 3 feet high or less, but, you should definitely DO NOT try it! The handle is a nice touch, made out of neoprene with some kind of inner material to keep it from losing it's shape, it's big enough for any size hand and it can easily fold to the sides just in case you want to carry it inside a backpack. Overall, this case is well worth the price and it's definitely a must buy for anyone who wants give their netbook some added protection!
